In Luxembourg, eligible renovation works on residential properties built 20+ years ago and used as a primary residence may qualify for the super-reduced VAT rate of 3% (vs. the standard 17%).
Eligible works include: wall preparation, tiling, flooring, fixed structural elements, and installation labour.
Not eligible: kitchen furniture, cabinets, appliances, and decorative items.
Maximum tax saving: €50,000 per property (cumulative, over the property’s lifetime).
