- Subfloor assessment and preparation — levelling, moisture measurement
- Installation of underlay appropriate to the product and substrate
- Floating or glued installation depending on material and subfloor type
- Cutting and fitting around door frames, thresholds, radiator pipes
- Threshold strips and transition profiles between rooms
- Skirting removal and refitting or supply of new skirting
- Protection of finished floor during remaining site works
Subfloor preparation is the step most clients don’t see and most problems come from. Moisture in a concrete screed, or a substrate that’s out of level by more than 3mm, will cause engineered boards to move, creak or gap within months. We measure before we install and address what we find.
Engineered hardwood is the most popular choice in Luxembourg for mid-to-high-end renovations — it handles the humidity range of heated apartments better than solid wood and looks identical in use. Laminate is practical for high-traffic rentals or secondary spaces. LVT is the right answer in wet-prone areas like bathrooms and laundry rooms.
