Tile Work
Tiling is one of those skills that looks simple until you have to do it in a small bathroom with an awkward window reveal, a sloped floor, and tiles that need to align across three walls and a ceiling. The margin for error is zero — a crooked first tile means every tile after it is crooked.

Our tile work covers:
- Full surface preparation — levelling, priming, waterproofing where required
- Layout planning — centred, offset, herringbone, diagonal
- Large-format porcelain (up to 120×60 and beyond)
- Small-format mosaic on mesh

- Precise seam alignment and consistent joint width
- Grouting with colour-matched or contrasting grout

We use levelling clips and spacers on every job — not because it’s faster, but because it’s how you get large-format tiles flat without lippage. On walls, we establish a datum and work from it. In bathrooms, floor falls are planned before laying starts so water drains where it should.
Common request: re-tiling over existing tiles. It’s possible in many cases and removes demolition time and mess. We assess whether the existing substrate is stable enough to accept a second layer and advise honestly — sometimes the old tiles need to come out, sometimes they don’t.
Large-format tile work on walls and floors is one of the areas where the difference between a careful contractor and a quick one is most visible. We take the time to do it right.
